How to apply for the 【Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System：ERFS】
Hello.
I am Akimoto, an administrative scrivener.
I will teach you how to obtain the “Certificate for Completion of Registration to the ERFS system ” required for new entry into Japan.
The manual did not seem to have an English version, so I created one.
How to apply
①Apply for a login ID for the person in charge of acceptance

～POINT～
★Corporations enter their corporate identification number, and individuals enter their alternative corporation number.
A list of alternative corporation numbers is provided in the Appendix.
★Free e-mail addresses are not accepted.
(Individuals can use Free e-mail addresses.)
★You do not need to enter g-Biz ID if you do not have one.
You will receive an email from ERFS one hour after you submit your application.
The email is titled “Login ID Application Accepted: Regarding the sending of the certificate. ”
②How to register with ERFS
Three documents are attached to the email of acceptance of your login ID application.
(1) Certificate
(2) Password for the certificate
(3) Login password
(1) Save the certificate on your computer.
(2) Install the certificate using the certificate password.
Use (3) login password to log in.
The application ID is your registered e-mail address.
After logging in, you will be asked to enter the information of person who wishes to enter the country.
★Name of the person entering the country
(as written in the passport)
★Nationality (3 letters)
★Date of birth
★Sex
★Passport number
★Expected date of entry
★Email address of the person entering the country
(If you don’t have one, you don’t have to enter one.)
★Place of stay
(Name of the place where you will stay immediately after entering Japan)
★Address of place of stay
After completing the form, please submit your application.
You can download a pdf of the “Certificate for Completion of Registration to the ERFS system ” in about 10 minutes.
The “Certificate for Completion of Registration to the ERFS system ” is printed and submitted to the Embassy.
The entrant will be able to obtain a visa.
